I have been quite the dilletante in and around the local music scene since 1975. In 1995, I came onboard the now defunct (and yet infamous) XL Flyer magazine. For 4 years I turned the tiny, all-D.I.Y. underground 'zine into an underground phenom- reviewed by "The Angry Thoreauan", and "Heckler" magazines, among others. I became the "Music Chick" (editor/photographer/writer) and made even more connections in the local community. Four years ago, in November 2004, I created "HOTWIAR PRODUCTIONS", and I produced the most successful event at First Night Escondido 2004-5: the "Battle of the Bands". After that, I was invited to M.C. another "Battle of the Bands" for a San Marcos High School fundraiser. I love finding young and undiscovered talent- there are a lot of gifted young men and women here in San Diego County. All this, and encouragement from a very good friend, the infamous "Big Vinnie", convinced me to start booking and promoting band shows at "The Jumping Turtle" in San Marcos, CA. As of now, however, I am only producing one, maybe 2 or 3 shows a year , the annual "HOTWIAR BIRTHDAY BASH" in August (unless something big comes up), any good cause for a fundraiser, and a "Birthday" show for my better half, Corey.
Having been born in the year of the dog (Chinese calendar), and a Leo to boot, I am a shameless people pleaser, and VERY loyal to my friends and family. Promoting is a lot of work, and tons 'o fun. I learned the hard way that by doing this you are doomed to piss someone off, no matter how hard you try. I still want to continue booking and promoting, but I have stepped back from it for now, for the most part, to focus on my health, my family, and an awesome job at HealthForce Nutritionals in Escondido, CA. that I just LOVE. The annual HOTWIAR BIRTHDAY BASH will continue every August till death do us part! Hell, this shit will likely continue even when I'm off this world and on to the next....

To top it off, I am the proud mom of 3 absolutely BEAUTIFUL daughters- which are featured in my "top 40". I also have two fabulously gifted and gorgeous granddaughters, ages 6 and 4.

I am married to an amazing man who happens to be my best friend. After being engaged for 7 years I figured it was finally time- and for me, third time's a charm! My family means the world to me, I cherish them fiercely, and love them unconditionally. This also includes my friends, some of which have been like family to Corey and me. As I get to know more of you all, my family will grow and grow and grow.........
